Story Behind the Piece:
This painting came from a real view at Beyondie Homestead. I was standing on the verandah looking out across the mud flats as the dark clouds began to clear and light broke across the land.
After rain, everything felt clean and alive again.
That is what I wanted to hold here. Not drama. Not a storm. The moment after, when the worry passes and the country seems to breathe differently.
I keep coming back to these desert landscapes because water is precious out there, and when it moves through the land it changes everything.
