After Rain, Beyondie Lakes, 2026
100 x 150 cm, Acrylic on Canvas
Background
After rain, the country softens.
Water moves quietly through the land, finding the old paths it remembers. The lakes begin to form again, spreading slowly across the flats, turning dust into reflection. What was dry and still only days before now carries movement, depth, and light.
In this work, the flowing line traces that movement… the journey of water as it reconnects the land. Layers of soft blues, greys and ochres echo the shifting surface of the lakes, where sky and earth meet and blur together.
Beyondie after rain is never loud. It is a quiet transformation. The kind you feel more than see, as the land settles into itself again.
